How do you like your hero?

I love romances of all kinds—from sweet and passionate to hot and wicked. As far as heroines go, there is the naïve virgin, the damaged but tough as nails spitfire, the sexy siren. They come in all shapes, sizes, and temperaments.

When it comes to the hero? He is thoughtful and tender, open and giving, but—at turns—brooding and mysterious. He is burly but nimble, romantic yet pragmatic, sexy and stoic.

The hero can be the true everyman.

I know, I get it. He’s a fantasy guy. It’s nice to think that a man can be everything for his woman at any given time. I love that. I really do.

But, there are rare occasions when the realist in me sneaks in and says, “What?” No man that I’ve ever known would say or do anything like that. It’s romantic for sure. But, really?

So: Mr. Perfect or Mr. Right?
